Shami has been selected for the test series

India has to play three T20, three ODI, and two Test matches in South Africa. BCCI has selected Shami in the team for the two-match Test series against South Africa. He has also been selected in the squad for the three-day practice games ahead of the Test series starting in Centurion on December 26. He was not part of the team in the T20 series against Australia. Nor was he given a chance in the ODI and T20 team against South Africa. Even at the time of selection for the Test series, it was told that their availability would be decided only after the fitness test. It is noteworthy that India’s limited overs team has left for the South Africa tour. The T20 series will start from 10th December and the ODI series will start from 17th December. Suryakumar Yadav will lead India in T20.

Mohammed Shami was seen limping

A few days ago also there were reports that Shami had some problems in his leg. Shami recently went to Kolkata to watch the match of his younger brother Mohammad Kaif. During that match of Vijay Hazare, he was seen limping. Apart from this, Mohammed Shami was seen at Mumbai Airport he was having trouble walking on the way. BCCI will not take any risk regarding Shami, although it has not yet announced Shami’s replacement. The first match of the Test series will be played in Centurion from 26 December.
