Former Indian captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has made a big prediction about the India vs England Test series. Ganguly believes that India will win this series, but it is difficult to say by which margin we will win either 4-0 or 5-0. According to Dada, England will not be able to beat India in a single match on this tour.
Apart from this, Ganguly has also said a big thing about the first Test in Hyderabad. He says that no team can win by scoring 230-240 runs against India on Indian soil.
Let me tell you, England’s first innings in the Hyderabad Test ended to 246 runs, after which India scored 436 runs on the board to take a lead of 190 runs. However, in the second innings, with the help of Ollie Pope’s century, the visiting team scored 316 runs till the end of the 2nd Day. England currently has a lead of 126 runs and they have 4 wickets in their hands in the second innings.
“India will win the series, it is they will win it 4-0 or 5-0. Every test will be challenging. If England had batted well, they could have won this Test match. No one can win against India by scoring 230-240 runs on Indian soil. If they had scored 350 or 400 runs they could have beaten India but they would not be able to do it now. It’s a tough series for England. Apart from Australia of that old era, no team could make any impact here.”
Ganguly also feels that England’s bazball strategy did not work in the first Test because of their pace. He also felt that the spinning wickets of the subcontinent are not conducive for bazball.
