It should be noted that no official information has been provided regarding the ODI World Cup 2023 thus far. This is the first time that it has taken so long to unveil the ODI World Cup schedule. Previously, the schedule for the 2019 ODI World Cup was released approximately 13 months before the tournament’s commencement. In contrast, the schedule for the 2015 ODI World Cup was announced around 18 months ahead of the tournament.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah had mentioned that the World Cup’s schedule would be announced during the World Test Championship itself.
Furthermore, the ICC CEO, in a conversation with ‘ESPNcricinfo’, expressed his belief that he can obtain the schedule from the hosts even now. He also stated that he needs to collaborate with all the participating teams and broadcasters in this tournament for discussions.
