The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently released the latest ODI rankings (ICC Rankings). There has been a big change in the top 10 of the ICC ODI rankings as Ireland’s young batsman Harry Tector has jumped two places to reach the 7th position. Harry Tector has defeated Team India’s veteran batsman Virat Kohli and South Africa (SA) opener Quinton de Kock.
Harry Tector has been in fine form for Ireland in the ICC Cricket World Cup qualifiers. He has scored 173 runs in 5 matches of this tournament with the help of 2 half-centuries. However, his team failed to make it to the Super 6, which shattered the dream of participating in this year’s World Cup.
Indian batsman Virat Kohli has lost 1 place. He has come from number 7 to 8. Apart from Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma are the two other Indian batsmen in the top 10. Shubman Gill remains at the 5th position while Rohit Sharma occupies the 10th position. Babar Azam still remained in the first place.
