Chennai Super Kings created history by winning the IPL 2023 title. MS Dhoni-led CSK won the trophy for the fifth time by defeating Gujarat Titans in the final.

Many controversial incidents were also seen during IPL 2023. During this, a tweet by CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja created a lot of ruckus. Jadeja mentioned Karma in his tweet, following which many fans believed that the all-rounder was unhappy with his place in the team.

When Jadeja was batting, the spectators on the ground were shouting that they want MS Dhoni. CSK captain came late to bat. CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanathan has given his response on this topic. Vishwanathan said that Ravindra Jadeja was probably saddened by these things.

Viswanathan pointed out that Ravindra Jadeja tweeted at the time, but never mentioned the matter. Viswanathan said in a conversation with ESPNcricinfo Tamil, ‘Ravindra Jadeja went to bat. Then 5-10 balls were left. In such a situation, someone’s bat works, and someone’s does not. But the thing was that he knew that Dhoni was going to come as the next batsman. Jadeja also gets to face only two or three balls at times.

The CEO of CSK further said, ‘Whenever Jadeja went to bat in such a situation, the spectators used to welcome Dhoni. Maybe he felt bad about it. This kind of pressure can build up on any player. But Jadeja never complained about this.

Viswanathan also talked about a viral video after CSK’s final league match. Then he was seen having a long conversation with Jadeja. Viswanathan claimed that he was not lashing out at the player, but was talking about his on-field performance in the match.

Viswanathan also told that Jadeja respects his captain MS Dhoni a lot. He pointed out that Jadeja’s match-winning knock in the final was dedicated to the captain. Viswanathan said, ‘It is all part of the game. After the last match, people saw the video online and assumed that I was lashing out at Jadeja, but it was not. I was talking to him about his match performance. We were not having any other conversation.

He further said, ‘In a team environment, everyone knows what happens in the dressing room. No one outside is unaware of this. We don’t have any problem. Jadeja has always respected Dhoni. After the final, he dedicated his innings to Dhoni. He respects MS like this.
