The Test match against Pakistan to be held in Sydney from January 3 will be David Warner's last Test. But before that, his baggy green i.e. debut cap was stolen, About which he appealed.

Australia’s opening batsman David Warner will play his last Test match on January 3, but before that bad news has come out. His baggy green cap (which is given to Australian players on debut) has been stolen. For this reason, David Warner has appealed to the people to return his cap. A bag containing valuables has gone missing while coming from Melbourne to Sydney.

The champion opener will retire from Test cricket after the completion of the AUS vs PAK, SCG Test against Pakistan starting on Wednesday, January 3. Everyone was shocked by the news of him losing his debut cap earlier. A small backpack was placed inside a larger Australian cricket bag, but the bag never reached Sydney until after the Boxing Day Test. Warner also made an Instagram post about this and appealed to return the cap.

“Unfortunately doing this is my last resort,” Warner said. Unfortunately, someone had taken my backpack out of my bag full of stuff, which contained my backpack and my girls’ gifts. My baggy greens were also inside this backpack. It’s emotional to me, it’s something I would love to have back in my hands and be out there with him this week. If this is the backpack you wanted, I have a spare bag here. You won’t be in any trouble…if you return my baggy greens I’ll be happy to give them to you.”

Warner has said that both the debut caps were in the same bag. Before the SCG Pink Test, David Warner was seen wearing a pink cap at the Jan McGrath Foundation. Warner will join the Fox Cricket commentary team upon completion of his Test and ODI career. If a backpack or ‘baggy green’ cap is found it can be returned to Fox Sports headquarters in Artarmon, Sydney. Fox Cricket has made this appeal.
