Mukesh Kumar said that he wanted to become a batsman and not a bowler. But because of this shortcoming, he became a bowler.

Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Mukesh Kumar is playing in the 5-match T20 series against Australia these days and he bowled very well in the first match against this team. Facing very difficult circumstances, Mukesh Kumar succeeded in making a place in the Indian team, and on 20 July 2023, he made his debut in international cricket through a Test on the West Indies tour. On this tour, he also made his debut for India in ODI and T20 formats.

Mukesh Kumar became a bowler due to lack of money

Mukesh Kumar is continuously a part of the Indian cricket team these days and while talking on Geo Cinema, he told the story of his days of struggle. He told that he also used to bat and wanted to become a batsman, but due to lack of money, he started bowling and became a bowler.

Mukesh Kumar said that we did not have enough money to buy the complete cricket kit. Earlier I also used to bat, but due to lack of money, I focused my attention on bowling.

Mukesh Kumar belongs to the Gopalganj district of Bihar and made his debut in international cricket at the age of 30. He is a right-arm fast bowler and due to his good performance at the domestic level, he got a chance to play for India. Mukesh Kumar has so far played only one test match for India in which he took 2 wickets.

He has also played 3 ODI matches for the country and took 4 wickets in these matches. Apart from this, he has taken 3 wickets in 6 T20 International matches. He played for Delhi in the IPL in 2023 and took 7 wickets in 10 matches. He was bought by the Delhi franchise for Rs 5.50 crore.
