Experienced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has returned to Team India for the 3-match ODI series against Australia. Due to Axar Patel’s injury during the Asia Cup, the doors have opened for this 37-year-old spinner in the ODI team. The team management is confident that Akshar Patel will be fit before the World Cup. If this does not happen then Ashwin can be seen in the World Cup. Ravichandran Ashwin understands the urgency of the occasion and he does not want to leave any stone unturned in his preparation. According to a Cricbuzz report, Ashwin was recently seen practicing in the nets with the white ball at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Apart from this, he has to play a 50-over match in the local league of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) in Chennai on Tuesday. He will take the exam here before the ODI series.
Ravichandran Ashwin returns to the ODI team after 21 months

R Ashwin and Washington Sundar will be in the team for the third ODI, while Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav will also return to the team. Rohit Sharma said about Shreyas Iyer that he will be 99 percent fine.

Will play ODI in Chennai before IND vs AUS ODI series
VAP Trophy One Day League is currently going on in Chennai. 37-year-old Ashwin has been a part of the 2011 World Champion Team India. He has experience of 113 ODI matches. He is set to take the field for the Tech Solutions MRPA team against the Young Stars at the SSN College Ground. He also took part in some three-day matches within the local league a few weeks ago.

Ashwin has played only two ODIs in the last six years
During the press conference after the announcement of the Indian team for the Australia series, Rohit Sharma was asked whether he was worried that R Ashwin has played only two ODIs in the last six years. In response, the captain stressed that there was no concern due to the off-spinner’s experience.
