Mohammed Siraj produced the best performance of his Test career in Cape Town. He took 6 wickets for 15 runs. India's fast bowler Siraj was not very effective in the Centurion Test.

Team India’s pacer Mohammed Siraj bowled dangerously in the first inning of SA vs IND 2nd test match on Wednesday. He played a key role in bowling out South Africa for 55 in the first innings of the second Test in Cape Town. He took 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. This is the best performance of Siraj’s Test career.

Siraj has revealed the secret of his killer performance in a conversation with India’s bowling coach Paras Mhambrey. Siraj said that his only thought was not to repeat the mistake he made in the Centurion Test against South Africa.

The BCCI shared the video of Siraj and Mhambrey. Mhambrey asked Siraj what was your thought process after the last game. What made you different in the second Test that gave a great performance? Siraj said in response, “When my innings ended in the last game, a lot of runs were gone. I realized then that I had tried too much.

For the first time in my Test career, the 24th over maiden came. Then I knew where I went wrong.
I didn’t watch videos of my bowling because I realized where I bowled wrong.”

Siraj further said, “I then realized what not to do wrong in the next match. I stood by it and got the result.” Let us know that India had to face defeat by an innings and 32 runs in the Centurion Test. Siraj took 2 wickets for 91 runs in 24 overs in the match. At the same time, when Mhambrey asked Siraj that looking at the pitch in the morning, it seemed that the African team would be stacked on 55 runs.

On this, the fast bowler said, “I did not think that would happen. Honestly, bowling partnerships are very important in Tests. My partnership with Jassi Bhai (Jasprit Bumrah) was good. He created pressure and I got wickets.
