IND vs SA Test: Former Indian team opener Wasim Jaffer believes that in the absence of Mohammed Shami, Prasidh Krishna, and Mukesh Kumar will have a golden opportunity to prove themselves against South Africa.

IND vs SA Test: Mohammed Shami is out of the two-match Test series beginning on Tuesday due to an ankle injury. Prasidh Krishna or Mukesh Kumar is expected to be selected in place of Shami in the playing eleven. Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer believes that in the absence of Mohammed Shami, these bowlers have a golden opportunity to prove themselves because they are the future of Indian fast bowling in the times to come.

Among the current bowlers, Mohammed Shami is the Indian bowler who has taken the most wickets against South Africa.

Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar made his Test debut against West Indies and took two wickets in it. Prasidh Krishna has not made his Test debut but he has performed strongly in domestic cricket. Wasim Jaffer said, “Mohammed Shami will be missed in South Africa.

But this is a great chance for Prasidh and Mukesh to prove themselves that they are the future of Indian fast bowling. You can’t find a better place for bowling than South Africa.

The two-Test series between India and South Africa will start from Tuesday. This will be India’s ninth Test series in South Africa since 1992. But till now he has not been able to win even a single series in this country.

This is the reason why like always, the current series is also being called the ‘last fort’ for the Rohit Sharma-led team.

However, there is no good news for the fans from Centurion as heavy rain has been predicted for the first two days of the match to be played at SuperSport Park. Centurion’s wicket offers pace and uneven bounce, which is likely to be a close contest.
