But he got out after scoring 9 runs in this match. Earlier, he played the last ODI for India on 25 November 2022 against New Zealand in Auckland and scored 36 runs. After that, he got a chance to play now, But his bat could not work. In this match, he scored 9 runs in 19 balls without any fours or sixes.

This was the 12th match of Sanju’s ODI career while it was his fourth ODI against the West Indies. Sanju Samson could score only nine runs in this match. He faced 19 balls. He could not even hit a four in his innings. He was caught by Brandon King in the slip-off spinner Yannick Kariya. Bowler Yannick bowled a short ball, Which was going outside off with extra bounce after hitting the middle stump line, Sanju Samson goes on the back foot and tries to nudge it down the leg side. But the ball edged the bat and Brandon King took a simple catch in the slips.

Captain Hardik Pandya also disappointed

Captain Hardik Pandya was also disappointed in this match and got out after scoring 7 runs in 14 balls. In this match, Akshar Patel was sent to bat at number four. But he too returned to the pavilion after scoring one off 8 balls. In this match, Ishan Kishan again played a very good innings and scored 55 runs, scoring his second consecutive half-century for the team. While Shubman Gill scored 34 runs. There was a 90-run partnership for the first wicket between these two.
