The Indian stance of refusing to play cricket in Pakistan is unsatisfactory. We are watching and reviewing all aspects of World Cup participation, including the security situation for Pakistani cricketers, and will provide our findings to the PCB when the time comes.”

It goes on to explain that the ICC provided the draft World Cup schedule to the cricket boards of all countries some time ago. In response, the PCB stated that it would not be able to deploy its team to India unless it received clearance from the government. In such a case, this latest statement published by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry suggests that whether the Pakistan squad would play in India’s hosting or not, will be apparent soon.
