Jitesh Sharma has been blazing for Punjab Kings in IPL for the last two seasons.

Indian cricket team’s young wicket-keeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma has made a name for himself in T20 cricket in a very short time. First, Jitesh’s bat is speaking for domestic cricket, then for IPL, and finally for Team India.

It is noteworthy that in the fourth T20 match against Australia in Raipur, Jitesh Sharma demonstrated his hard-hitting batting. In the match, Jitesh played a brilliant inning of 35 runs in 19 balls with the help of 1 four and 3 skyscraper sixes and played an important role in helping India win.

On the other hand, after Jitesh Sharma, Sanju Samson’s T20 career seems to be almost over. It is noteworthy that Sanju gets very few opportunities to play for India and now Jitesh is making a name for himself in the shortest format of the game as a hard hitter. Apart from this, Sanju has got a place only in the ODI team in the all-format series against South Africa.

In T-20, once again the Indian management has shown confidence in Jitesh Sharma and given him a place in the T-20 team. Apart from India, if Jitesh manages to perform well in South Africa too, then it is unlikely that Sanju Samson will get a place in the shortest format of the game.

A look at Jitesh Sharma’s cricket career

Let us tell you that Jitesh Sharma, who plays domestic cricket for Maharashtra, made a place in the senior team of Vidarbha by performing brilliantly in the 2012-13 Cooch Behar Trophy. So in the year 2016, Mumbai Indians included him in their team, but he had to wait for about 6 years for his IPL debut.

It is noteworthy that Jitesh made his debut for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022 against Chennai Super Kings. So in the last season, he caught the attention of the selectors by playing a match-winning inning of 49* runs in 27 balls against Mumbai, and after he started performing well continuously.
