Former Indian captain Virat Kohli did something similar on the second day of the first Test match between South Africa and India. After the fall of South Africa’s first wicket, there was a partnership of 93 runs between Dean Elgar and Tony de Zorzi, which was looking very difficult to break and the Indian bowlers were working hard.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli swapped the bails as we have seen England fast bowler Stuart Broad doing before. Just as Broad had had success, this trick of Kohli worked and he got the wicket after just two balls.
India scored 245 runs on the second day after losing all the wickets. KL Rahul scored a century. Mohammad Siraj gave India the first success in the opening over itself but the big partnership between Dean Elgar and Tony de Zorzi for the second wicket increased India’s tension.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli could not control himself and he changed the bails in the 29th over of the innings, which was made quite famous by England’s fast bowler Stuart Broad in Test cricket he also got success because it distracted the batsmen’s attention.
This trick of Virat Kohli worked for India and after just two balls, Jasprit Bumrah showed Tony de Zorzi the way to the pavilion. Tony de Zorzi was out after scoring 28 runs in 62 balls. Till the time of writing the news, South Africa had scored 194 runs for three wickets in the first innings till tea on the second day of the first cricket test against India on Wednesday. At tea, Dean Elgar was on 115 while David Bedingham was on 32.
South Africa is now just 51 runs behind India’s 245 runs in the first innings with seven wickets left. From India, Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets and Mohammad Siraj took one wicket.
