AUS vs PAK: David Warner finds his lost baggy green cap from the team hotel in Sydney. How his bag back got there is unclear.

AUS vs PAK: David Warner’s baggy green cap was lost before the Retirement Test match. This happened while transiting the luggage of Melbourne and Sydney players. Four days later, he got the cap. His backpack was found in a Sydney hotel. It had two baggy green caps, including the cap Warner got during his debut in 2011. However, how this bag reached the hotel is not clear. Warner posted a video on social media on Friday morning holding his real baggy green on the third day of the third Test between Pakistan and Australia and thanked the people involved for finding it.

“Hello everyone, I’m so pleased and relieved to let you all know that my baggy greens have been found, which is great news,” Warner said. Thank you to everyone involved in finding it and I’m extremely grateful. Thank you to Freight Company Qantas, our hotel, and team management. Only a cricketer can tell how special his cap is and I will cherish it for the rest of my life.”

How did the bag reach the hotel, it is unclear

“The bag was found at the team hotel with all the belongings,” a Cricket Australia spokesperson said. Despite a lot of searching since Tuesday and checking CCTV footage at several places, no one is aware of how the missing bag reached here. Warner gave information about losing the backpack with a baggy green cap and said that the person returning it would not have any problem.

Before his final Test, Warner used a fresh cap borrowed from Cricket Australia for the photoshoot when Australia fielded on the first day of the third Test against Pakistan. Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said: “It’s a huge relief that David’s cap has been found and a big thank you to everyone involved in the finding. We truly appreciate it.”
