ICC World Cup Schedule: The schedule of World Cup 2023 has been announced, see when, where and how many matches will be held.

ICC World Cup 2023– The schedule of ICC World Cup 2023 has been announced. Its first match will be held in Ahmedabad on 5 October. These matches will be played on 10 grounds. The final game will also take place in Ahmedabad.

This match will take place on 19 November. The semi-finals will be contested on November 15 and 16 in Mumbai and Kolkata, respectively.

45 league and 3 knockout matches will be held in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamshala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. The entire tournament will run for a total of 46 days.

It is believed that if India qualifies for the semi-finals, then this match will be played in Mumbai. Yes, if Pakistan is in front of him, then this match will be held in Kolkata.

ICC and BCCI have released the schedule of the ICC World Cup 2023 on Tuesday. It has been announced only 100 days before the World Cup. Whereas the schedule of the 2019 World Cup and 2015 World Cup was announced 12 months back.

What will be the format of the ICC World Cup 2023?

Its format will be round-robin like in 2019. That is, each team will play each other once in the league stage. After this, the top four teams will reach the semi-finals. India has qualified for the ICC World Cup 2023 as the host country. Whereas Afghanistan, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, England, Bangladesh and South Africa have qualified for the 2020-2023 World Cup Super League because of being in the top 8. World Cup qualifier matches are being played in Zimbabwe for the remaining two teams. In this, any two teams from Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland, Nepal, Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, UAE, USA and Zimbabwe will reach there.

India will play in total 9 venues

The first match of the 2023 World Cup will be between the teams that reached the final last time. This match will pit New Zealand against England. India will play Australia in its opening match on October 8 in Chennai.

The ICC World Cup 2023 matches will be held at a total of 10 venues. The Indian team will play on 9 grounds. Australia – will play in 8 cities. Whereas Pakistan will play in only five cities – Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. The last match of the league stage will be held on 12 November. In this, the England team will play with Pakistan in Kolkata and Australia team will play with Bangladesh in Pune.

The much-awaited India-Pakistan match will be played on October 15 as already scheduled. This match will take place just at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pakistan had objected to the draft of the World Cup sent by the BCCI, saying that it could not play in Ahmedabad due to security reasons. But its solution was found.
