The last match of the three-match T20 series between India and Afghanistan was exciting, as the first super over was also tied after the match was tied and then the result came out in the second super over.
Regarding this super duper over, i.e. double super over, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma said that he does not remember when this happened.
In this match, Rohit Sharma scored a century in the first innings and he became the batsman to score the most centuries in T20 International cricket.
In the post-match presentation ceremony, Rohit Sharma said, “I don’t remember the last time (double super over) happened. I think I batted three times in one IPL match. It was important to build partnerships and we (Rinku and I) kept talking to each other to not lose that intent in the big games it was a good match, there was pressure and it was important to bat long and till the end.”
Rohit further said, “Do not compromise on the intent we want to show. The last few series that he (Rinku) played showed what he can do with the bat. Very calm and knows his strengths well. He has come in late and is doing what is expected of him and he has done well for India. There are good signs for the team moving forward. “
Captain Rohit has said that I wanted someone like this at the backend. We know what he has done in the IPL and he replicated that in the Indian team as well.
Rinku Singh came into the limelight after leading KKR to victory in the IPL with five consecutive sixes. This is a matter of last season, which one hardly can forget. Especially Yash Dayal, who over Rinku Singh did this feat.
