Ind vs Aus final Virat Kohli broke Ricky Ponting's record during his innings against the Kangaroo team in the final match and he came second in the list of batsmen scoring the most runs in the World Cup.

IND vs AUS: In the final match of the ODI World Cup 2023, the captain of the opposing team, Pat Cummins, won the toss and decided to bowl first and three batsmen of the Indian team fell on the score of 81 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma played a quick inning of 47 runs, but Shreyas Iyer disappointed by scoring 4 runs while Shubman Gill scored the same number of runs.

In this match, Virat Kohli broke the big record of Ricky Ponting during his innings. Virat Kohli became the highest run scorer in one season of the ODI World Cup during the semi-final match itself.

Indian team’s star batsman Virat Kohli broke the big record of Ricky Ponting during his innings played in the final against the Kangaroo team. Ricky Ponting was second in the list of batsmen scoring the most runs in Virat Kohli’s first ODI World Cup, but now Kohli has left him behind. Kohli has now come second in the list of batsmen scoring the most runs in the ODI World Cup and pushed Ponting back.

The record of scoring the most runs in ODI World Cup history is in the name of Sachin Tendulkar who had scored 2278 runs, but Virat Kohli came second with 1762 runs (till the time of writing the news) while Ponting came third with 1743 runs. In this list, Rohit Sharma is in fourth position with 1575 runs while Kumar Sangakkara is in fifth position with 1532 runs.
