India’s experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, while referring to the plight of the people of Chennai due to the cyclonic storm ‘Michaung’, said that there has been a power outage in his area for more than 30 hours. Cyclone ‘Michaung’ has caused devastation in Tamil Nadu and surrounding areas. The rain stopped in Chennai on Tuesday but there is a lot of water accumulated at many places, electricity is cut and the mobile network is not available.
Ashwin wrote on ‘X’, “There is no electricity in my area for more than 30 hours. This is the condition of most areas. Don’t know what option is left. Ashwin, who hails from Chennai, is constantly posting pictures and video clips of the city.

Due to the arrival of Cyclone Michaung, people have faced heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and floods in Chennai. So far, 17 people have died in this disaster in about 10 districts of Andhra and Chennai. Schools and colleges have been ordered to remain closed in Chennai today and 80 percent power supply has been restored in the city.
