Australia captain Mitchell Marsh scored 186 runs in the three-match T20 series against South Africa and broke Virat Kohli's big record.

SA vs AUS: Under the captaincy of Mitchell Marsh, the Australia team made a clean sweep of South Africa 3-0 in the three-match T20 series and Kangaroo captain Marsh batted amazingly in this series. He was also declared Player of the Series for scoring the most runs in this series. Mitchell Marsh equaled this record of Virat Kohli in this series while breaking the record of Virat Kohli as captain, he also went ahead of him.

Mitchell Marsh broke Virat Kohli’s record

Marsh scored the highest 186 runs in the three-match T20 series against South Africa and became the highest run-scorer against any team in a three-match T20 series as captain. Earlier, the record of scoring the most runs as a captain in a three-match T20 series was recorded in the name of Kohli and he scored 183 runs against the West Indies in 2019. Now Mitchell Marsh has left him behind and gone ahead of him. Kane Williamson is at number three on this list, who scored 175 runs as captain in the three-match T20I series against Pakistan in 2016.

Marsh scored 186 runs at an average of 186 and a strike rate of 186 in the three-match T20 series against South Africa. In these matches, he scored 2 half-centuries and his best score was 92 not out. During this period he also hit 24 fours and 8 sixes. Talking Virat Kohli, scored runs as captain in the ODI series against West Indies in the year 2019 with an average strike rate of more than 180. Now in the history of T20 International cricket, Kohli and Marsh are the only two captains who have scored runs at a strike rate and average of more than 180 against any team in a three-match T20 series.
