Former Australian captain Michael Clarke has shown support for Rohit Sharma. He says that he is a good captain and batsman. Losing the WTC final does not mean that he is not a good captain.

After losing the final of the World Test Championship 2023, Rohit Sharma’s criticisms are not stopping. Although some people are also supporting him, recently former Australian captain Michael Clarke has come in his support. Michael Clarke has not only praised his captaincy but has also praised his batting during this period.

Michael Clarke said in an interview with RevSports, “Rohit Sharma is a very good captain. I will keep faith with him. He likes to attack, he had a lot of success with Mumbai Indians. Just because India could not win the WTC 2023 final, does not mean that Rohit Sharma is not the right person to lead India.”

He further said, “Since Rohit Sharma took over the captaincy of the Indian team, he won the Test series against Australia. He has done well as a batsman too. Think of his Test hundreds. He is a very good captain. Losing one final doesn’t make him a bad captain, nor does it make team India a bad team.”

We would like to tell you that Team India did well in this World Test Championship 2023 cycle. India won all the three-Test series at home and lost the series 2–1 in South Africa. The Indian team ended its cycle in the second position in the WTC points table.
